Advances in our understanding of brain plasticity have provided the impetus for new, evidence-based rehabilitation strategies. Clinicians face the challenge of how best to provide such rehabilitation to their clients in the most effective and efficient way.
For many clients who have lost or are losing motor skills, the inability to lift a foot or hold a sitting or standing position limits them from actively participating in therapy that could improve mobility. In addition, conventional rehabilitation equipment does little to assist these patients in targeting specific muscles in a systematic way to regain strength, balance, range of motion and coordination.
NeuroGym Technologies provides clinicians the tools to effectively address neurological rehabilitation challenges.
Balance, mobility and gait
Maintaining static and dynamic balance is a complex process that depends upon the integrity of key physical parameters such as adequate strength and range of motion at the ankles, knees and hips. Difficulties with these abilities are interconnected and require a multi-dimensional therapeutic program that can be effectively provided with the help of a comprehensive line of rehabilitation equipment.

Motor control and coordination
Knowledgeable therapists are seeking innovative ways to incorporate the advances in our understanding of neuroplasticity into more effective therapeutic approaches, but they are often limited by a lack of equipment to help put new techniques into action. Intensive, speed-sensitive practice is required, and the conditions for safely practicing multi-structure coordination must be met.
The NeuroGym Technologies line of equipment enables such training.

Strength and range of motion
Strength training in key muscles and joints has been shown to be crucial to achieving expected function. Using conventional methods, it has been difficult to apply an effective strength-training regimen for the weak and physically challenged population.
The NeuroGym Technologies equipment enables progressive resistance training of the trunk and extremities, even in extremely weak individuals who are in a bed or wheel chair. These tools also provide the means of improving the active range of motion, a challenge that requires intensive, speed-sensitive functional movement training.
